The kids have changed so much in just the last few weeks. Parker can ride a bike!! That was pretty crazy. He's been cruising on his Strider for a few summers now, and Aunt Jeannie found a bike just the right size for him, so we thought we'd try it out. It started by us holding on to him while he caught on to the concept to pedaling. Then only a few days later he was ready to try it out down our street. It came so quickly for him! I didn't really know what to do or say. I considered crying because how in the world our first born is old enough to ride a bike is beyond me, but I just soaked it all in while Ryan caught it all on video. He rode up and down our street several times, and then he said he was pulling a bike trailer with Deuce in it =) That kid and his trailers. Love it.
Adley is signing "more," "please," "milk," "all done," and "thank-you." AND she actually knows when to use them. She used mored and all done all the time when we're eating. And whenever she sees something she wants, she starts rubbing her belly (please). One night I asked her to sign "more milk, please." and she did. It's adorable. Her little pony tail on top of her head is just the cutest thing. She's also started crawling up the stairs and she took 10 steps by herself the other day. I'm pretty sure she'll be walking by the next time I blog. I just LOVE this age. She is learning so much everyday.
Ryan had ankle surgery 5 weeks ago. He injured it on duty several times and decided to get it checked out since he was training for his first IronMan in September. Turned out he had fully torn cartilage and ligaments, and bruising in the bone. The surgery went really well, praise the Lord. He was not able to put any weight on his ankle for four weeks, and now he can walk around the house without the crutches. It was a little taxing, but we made it and I'm just so thankful he is recovering so well. He's had very little pain and a great attitude - not to mention he's been home everyday for over a month. I'm not complaining about that!
I feel like this is turning in to a Christmas letter. haha, oh well! I am finishing up my last week as a reading interventionist at a public school in Bartlett. It's been a learning experience. It's only 10 hours/week, but it has shown me that I really do prefer to be home =)
Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks.

Nana bought this hat for Parker for the Kentucky Derby. It's a little small, but he LOVES it!
