The Big Kids

Parker and Adley have been so fantastic with Bristol since the moment they met her. And they've been so understanding and patient with the constant nursing and diaper changing. The bedtime routine is a little different, and life in general is just different. But, they LOVE having a little sibling. They are SO helpful. Adley likes to help change diapers, they both love to hold her, they'll give her the pacifier, sing to her, read to her, etc. I just couldn't be more proud of their big sibling skills.

Lots of times I nurse in the same chair and take pictures of what's going on around me. I call it my "nursing chronicles." Lots of sweet things I get to see when I'm forced to slow down and watch. =)

We're still chugging away at school. Some days are awesome. Some days are tough, but they've learned a lot this year and we're on the home stretch!!

They made their own breakfast. <3 p="">

Adley and Lena started Gymnastics at GAR in March. They're loving it!

Parker made up this lego tractor "out of his mind."

Adley is attempting to do her own hair...I'll probably keep helping with that for awhile ;)

Spending my Monday's with these cutie girlies is pretty awesome. How in the world do I have two daughters!!??

We took them bowling to have a fun night out.

Reading some books to Great Grandma <3 p="">

Skating on the ice in our yard! I was laughing so hard watching.

Wrestling with Daddy = Every kid's favorite.

They built this thing they called a "Pig Walker." I have no idea where that name came from but it was so funny! It had every Lego guy/girl we owned on it.

They both finished up basketball in January. It was Parker's 3rd season and Adley's first. Adley was quite the defender ;)

Piano is a love/hate. At the beginning of the week Parker feels like he can't play the new songs. 2 days later he's perfected it. Adley is doing well, too, it's just me that does not have the capacity and patience to sit down and practice with them. Hopefully that'll improve. It's hard to fit in because Bristol has to be awake,

We tried some hand stitching.

Parenting is such a roller coaster. These pictures make it look so beautiful and effortless. That's actually why I've always loved the blog. It shows me that we have so many sweet and special times, even on days that are hard. I wouldn't have it any other way. <3 all="" amazing="" an="" and="" awesome="" be="" dad="" great.="" happens="" having="" house="" husband="" i="" is="" it="" keep="" kids="" makes="" nbsp="" p="" plus="" projects="" really="" requesting.="" ryan="" so="" the="" to="" who="" with="">

Now 2 Months!

Having a winter baby was great. It was fun to cuddle and stay inside and cozy, have visitors, and soak up the newborn goodness. We've been calling the doctor with Bristol's weight every week. She's been a slow gainer. By 2 months she was a 9lbs 4oz. It's been a little discouraging just because it seems like nursing has gone so well. She does spit up quite a bit, but she is doing everything else she's supposed to be doing, so the doctor wasn't too concerned. She just wants us to keep calling. I really appreciated that she didn't want us to come into the clinic! The big kids and I weigh her almost every morning and cheer for her when she gains =)

We are getting a lot more interaction now. Lots of cute smiles. When Ryan comes home from work and she smiles at him, it just melts my heart. She kicks like crazy and is is starting to coo back at you when you’re talking to her, too. She slept 9 hours on her 8 week birthday and has done that a few times since. Not super consistent yet, but we’ll take it!
