It's March

And now for March. A little family twister!

Puzzles with Aunt Jeannie

Another date with Daddy. Lucky bugger!

If I ever ask Adley to get my phone, she is sure to take a few selfies before it gets to me.

She went through this phase of always wanting to be in Ryan's shirt. She literally stayed in there for an hour while he read Parker books.

This is no joke - she fell asleep in there.

Music is in the air - cuz we got a piano!

Ryan's been keeping his eye out for a piano for quite some time. We finally decided on one, but we knew we wanted a shiplap wall in front of it, so we got to work! It was a pretty quick project - my favorite kind ;)

It's here! Just gotta finish painting...oh wait, I left the paint in the garage and it froze...thank you Lowe's for being understanding and giving me a free replacement! Won't happen again! haha

Grandma came over and played some real music on it. It was pretty well in tune and sounds great! Time for Parker to start lessons =)

I just put some decorations by it in May. It's been getting LOTS of use =)

Parker Gets Glasses

Back in August, Parker got an eye exam for his Kindergarten Registration (which I'm so thankful for. I don't know if I would've taken him otherwise). They said he needed glasses and gave him a pretty strong prescription, but we were hesitant because I didn't know if he couldn't see, or if he was just getting confused with all of the questions. So, we took him to a different place in January. Sure enough he definitely needed some glasses. He is far sighted and will be working up to his full prescription over the next few months.

Picking out the glasses was hard for me - I mean, I didn't cry about it or anything, but he's obviously going to look a lot different with them on. Lucky for him, he's handsome no matter what <3 a="" and="" asked="" awesome="" buddy.="" correct="" could="" difference="" faster="" feel="" first="" got="" he="" him="" if="" p="" prescription="" probably="" re="" said="" taller.="" tell="" the="" them="" too.="" we="" when="" with="" you="">

Fabulous February

Changing the mantle is my favorite.

Planking hard

There were a few times that the kids would sit on either side of the fire and color while I read to them. It was something I will cherish forever!

She loves having her picture taken - and every time I just think she is growing SO fast!

Valentine's Tradition - Blueberry Muffins. Ryan had to work so I got up real real early to share one with him...and then I went back to bed ;) 9 years ago we got engaged!

There were some BEAUTIFUL days in February. Crawfish hunting at Severson Dells

It was Cherry's birthday! Family picture ;)

Oh this little cutie <3 p="">

Giving daddy some Facetime kissies.

Parker's Mountain View

Parker has been dreaming of a bunkbed for quite a while. It took us a while to figure out exactly what we wanted his room to look like, but Ryan took charge, and I think it's safe to say that it turned out pretty absolutely awesome. This guy's got SKILLS! He painted the mountains and came up with the plans for the bed. He built it in Nate's shop and even used some ancient joinery techniques ;)

The kids kept the shop clean.

Nate came over one night and helped Ryan put everything up. It looks awesome!!

We put some really cool glow in the dark stars on the ceiling so he is sleeping in the mountains under the stars every night =)

Not to get all sappy on you here, but it was hard for me when first had Parker because he never got a nursery, he had his own room in our 2nd apartment with no personality, and then he shared a room with Adley in Wheaton, which was fine, but I just never got to decorate his room and I always wanted to. So, all that to say, this little sweetie pie getting a cool room was something we were all very excited about. <3 p="">

Now the bed has become a jungle gym, too. He usually does some pull ups for us before bed, and Adley loves to hang on the bed, too!
