Beach Day or BUST!

The forecast for the rest of the week was in the high 50's-mid 60's.  You can't take a vacation to Florida and not go to the beach, so we bundled up and hoped for the best.  Honestly, I thought it'd be 80 when we got there. Wishful thinking at it's best. It was 60, but we made the best of it =)

We started with a picnic. I had to get used to the seagulls...they're not my favorite but the boys kept scaring them away for us.

We were on Honeymoon Island. We collected a lot of cool shells.

These two little cuties became BFF's within hours of the first day, and never really separated after that <3 .="" p="">

We tried to take one without sunglasses...it was a bit too bright!

Fruit Snack break

See Parker with the shovel? He used that to chase Seagulls away for hours.
He was protecting me.  My hero ;)

We went to the playground and saw an armadillo!

The boys saw an Osprey eating a fish in the tree.

We were all getting tired and hungry, so we found a cute seafood place right on the water. Unfortunately, the seating was outside and we were already cold...brrrr! Better bust out the beach towels for blankets!

The kids weren't into picture-taking. This is about the time we all realized were super burnt, too!

Since we were already freezing, we decided to go get ice cream, because that's what you do when you go to the beach.

It was delish!

Goodbye Gulf of Mexico! It's been really fun, but we hope to see you on a warmer day next time!
