We enrolled Parker in the Little Mover's class at the Park District in January so he could have a chance to meet some new kids and play with things that we don't have at home. The first week he did a lot of watching and not a whole lot of playing unless I was encouraging him. By the last week, he play the moment we walked in the door.
Each week started out with a few songs on the carpet. I loved watching him sit there and try to do what the teacher was doing. He looked like such a big kid! After the carpet time was over, the kids could choose from a variety of activities. Parker always went straight to the table with the markers. I guess he really likes sitting at a table just his size. His favorite thing about the markers was pulling the lids off.
He colored his first picture =) Child prodigy? haha
(Coming soon! Being scanned, right mom? ;)
The mats were his favorite. He loved running up and down the ramp and attempting to jump. (He just squats and then goes up to his tip toes).
And he would always check out the carpet toys to see if there were any tractors.
