I loved growing up on a farm in the middle of no where, and I'm pretty sure my kids would love it, too. Whenever we are there, I hardly ever see Parker because he is always working with Papa, and Adley is really starting to appreciate the country life, too.
Parker and Papa are usually the first ones awake. This particular weekend, my nephew, Mark, was visiting, too. All the kids LOVE this Country Road ABC book. Especially the page where the cow kicks the farmer.
After breakfast, Parker and Papa feed the kitties, play with tractors and trucks, and then head over to Great Grandma's to get some cookies, take tractor ride or two, and then do some more "work."
During the summer months, we eat plenty of watermelon. When we are finished, we throw the rinds into the field...left handed. So funny.
We usually take a Ranger ride down to the pond.
Adley seems to be the animal-lover of the family. Something she definitely does not get from me, as you can tell by my face in all of these pictures.
Both kids are always exhausted and one of them is usually crying when it's time for us to leave. This last time, Parker slept all the way home and then another 2 hours on the couch. Being a farm kid is hard work!
Oh my word, your face in all the cat pictures is killing me! Love that your kids have so much fun at the farm =)
