The Best Of Both Worlds

I loved growing up in the country, but there are a lot of desirable things about the suburbs as well.  Our friends live in the best of both worlds - 2 acres in Naperville.  They asked us to house sit and were more than willing!

We sipped coffee on the porch swing a few mornings,

ate lots of produce from the garden,

gathered the eggs and fed the chickens.

We played on the tire swing a lot and went on long adventurous bike ride one morning, too.

We used to go over to their house for fires, but we hadn't yet this summer due to a lack of fire pit. Ryan was sure to fix that.

We even had a party that night with our BFF's to break it in. =)

Adley and Parker both took a liking to the dog, Stella.  

And the mosquitoes really took a liking to Adley :(

Poor baby!  Luckily it was only like that for a day and they didn't bother her at all.

We all had a blast living the urban country life.
